1987 31' Downeast Lobster Boat Sport Fisherman

Mechanical:

320 hp 3208T Cat diesel with Twin Disc 207A 2:1 gear equipped with a Trolling valve. Cruise 14 knots burning 9 gph, all day at 2200 rpm.1 1/2" stainless shaft with Aquadrive Vibration reduction joint. 23x23 bronze 4 blade propeller with a full keel with large rudder. Boat handles like a car in the harbor and tracks well trolling in the wind.Floscan fuel monitoring system to track fuel usage. Two 150 gallon fuel tanks.

Rule 1100 gph automatic bilge pump and one manually operated diaphragm pump. Fireboy automatic halon fire extinguishing system located in the engine compartment and galley area. Two hand held dry chemical fire extinguishers are located below and at cabin door. 18 lb danforth anchor with 30 ft of chain and 400 feet of 5/8" line. Electronic anchor windlass located at bow to retrieve anchor.

Furuno 24 mile radar, Garmin GPS 210 Chart plotter, Furuno Color CRT fish finder. VHF, CB, Hailer.

Accommodations:

Large V-berth below sleeps up to three persons. A dinette, helm and copilots chairs provide seating for 5 in the wheelhouse. Cabin is heated by an electric bus heater driven from engine coolant and hot water baseboard runs through the folks hole to provide warmth during engine operation. Toyostove ceramic cooktop/cabin heater located below in galley with a sink and small cabinet area. A large enclosed head with electric macerator is located below. The boat has a holding tank with pumpout and through-hull selector valve. Small hanging locker is located forward of the head. Storage under the V-berth as well.

Deck:

Large watertight and self-bailing cockpit with built in fish box and bench seat located on the back of the cabin bulkhead. High bulwarks and stainless rails provide a comfortable fishing experience and safety for small children as well as adults. Salt and fresh water washdown available on deck powered by flojet pumps. Non-skid cockpit floor painted with epoxy paint for easy clean up. Wide side walkarounds for easy access to bow with high stainless rails.

Boat layout and construction:

Hull is hand laid fiberglass with balsa core above engine stringers. A deep full keel gives a dry bilge with an almost dripless stuffing box. Little water ever accumulates in the bilge so the mechanical parts of the boat remain rust free and in excellent working order. Bronze seacock valves for engine coolant, washdown hose, head and stuffing box lubrication. All metal bonded and grounded to a large zinc at the stern of the boat. All mechanical and hull components are in excellent working order and have been very well maintained.

Additional Equipment: Achilles 8 foot rubber raft, EZ puller large capacity electric pot hauler with aluminum davit, Canon easy troll downriggers custom mounted to fit railing. Aluminum trolling/stabilizer poles and two King hand troll gurdies and davits.

Summer 2004 out of water survey available on request. Surveyed at $75,000.
